Tolland
Tolland, Colorado, an unincorporated community in Gilpin County
History
The settlement of Tolland, west of Rollinsville, was begun by Katherine Wolcott Toll, after her husband's death and the arrival of the railroad. Tolland became a popular summer resort for Denver families after the arrival of the railroad. A post office named Tolland was established in 1904 and operated until 1944, named for the local Toll family.

Tolland is located at 39° 54′ 18″ N, 105° 35′ 21″ W at an elevation of 8921 feet.
Comment
Tolland is now little more than a wide spot in the road to the east portal of the Moffat tunnel, but the building indicate an interesting past.
