History
Padroni, Colorado, is a small unincorporated community in Logan County with a rich history. Here are some key points about its past: Establishment: Padroni was officially platted and surveyed in 1909 and named in 19101. The town was named after early settlers George and Tom Padroni. Development: The town initially served as a hub for workers constructing the North Sterling Reservoir. This reservoir played a crucial role in the town’s development, providing irrigation water that supported a thriving agricultural community. Community: At its peak, Padroni had various businesses, including general stores, a pool hall, a garage, grain elevators, and even a sugar beet station operated by the Great Western Sugar Company. The Padroni State Bank was established in 1917. Education: The pride of the community was the Padroni School, built in 1916, which still stands today as a private residence.
Geography
Padroni is located just northwest of the center of Logan County. It is on County Route 43, 11 miles north of Sterling, the county seat, and 16 miles southwest of Peetz. The Padroni CDP has an area of 519 acres, all land.

Pedroni has had a population decline of 21% since 2010. According to CityData.com, the average income in Pedroniin 2022 was a LOSS of $679,634,999. I too would move. While I never met wither George or Tom, I do not think the community of Padroni is what either of them envisioned.
